Datacentrix delisted from the JSE on 14 February 2017 after 18 years on the main board with the 100% acquisition of the business by Alviva Holdings.
In January 2024, Convergence Partners – an impact investment management firm that focuses on the telecommunications, media and technology sector in Africa – entered into a definitive agreement with Alviva Holdings to acquire 100% of Datacentrix through its Convergence Partners Digital Infrastructure Fund (CPDIF). Alviva exited Datacentrix pursuant to its delisting from the JSE in early 2023, to focus on its core operations in hardware distribution.
The Convergence Partners’ transaction further increased Datacentrix’ capacity to deliver its portfolio of services, extended its solution set and technology footprint across Africa. The group continues to leverage its position as a cohesive, reliable and strong hybrid ICT systems integrator and managed services provider to its growing customer base.
